Heavily influenced by the Pacific Northwest, the AnnaLena kitchen is led by Executive Chef Michael Robbins, who creates modern Canadian cooking. After numerous stages around Vancouver kitchens, he made a move to Sydney, Australia to sharpen his skills and fuel his passion. Returning to Vancouver, he took key roles at various Glowbal Group restaurants before establishing Kitsilano’s Oakwood Canadian Bistro. AnnaLena was opened in 2015 and that same year was named one of Canada’s best new restaurants by En Route Magazine.
Co-owned by Chef Carl Heinrich, Top Chef Canada (Season Two) champion, Richmond Station was envisioned as a neighbourhood restaurant, even though it resides in Toronto’s downtown core. The focus remains on great ingredients drawn from across Canada, served with a relaxed professional hospitality. Carl knows the best ingredients are fundamental in order to make the best-composed dishes.
