Canada’s Favourite Celebration of Food and Drink Returns with Star-Studded Culinary Events

 VANCOUVER, BC (July 19, 2016) — Exceptional culinary events are on the menu at the 14th annual EAT! Vancouver Food + Cooking Festival happening October 4 to 7, 2016. This year’s new look EAT! Festival is presented by Jaguar Land Rover, and features unparalleled chef access, outstanding dinners and wines, an epicurean feast, and charity in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

The 2016 edition of EAT! Vancouver will be highlighted by a Dinner Series (Oct. 4-5), BETA 5 chocolatier class (Oct. 4) and a Food Trends and Tasting Panel (Oct. 5), the EAT! Harvest epicurean feast (Oct. 6), and lastly An Intimate Evening with Chef Michael Smith (Oct. 7).

Consumers, from across North America, come to the EAT! Vancouver Food + Cooking Festival to engage with Canada’s best chefs and food experiences.

The culinary extravaganza will take place at venues throughout the city. Returning food enthusiasts will note the departure of the single mass event, replaced with some of the most unique culinary experiences ever offered in Vancouver featuring the best chefs across the country.

The EAT! Harvest event at the Pinnacle Harbourfront Hotel, located at   1133 West Hastings Street, will be headlined by Food Network host Chef Michael Smith and 17 of Canada’s renowned chefs celebrating Fall flavours accompanied by premium wines and decadent desserts. Guests will be able to wander from chef station to chef station enjoying special wine, and delicious tapas-sized dishes from top chefs from Canada’s best restaurants.

Top chefs from across Canada will partner with chefs from Vancouver’s best restaurants to create a unique EAT Dinner Series. The exciting collaborations between local and visiting culinary stars will provide food and wine aficionados with one-of-a-kind must attend dining experiences. These special events will be held throughout Vancouver at select venues including Anna Lena, The Mackenzie Room, Maenam, Farmer’s Apprentice, Royal Dinette, West and Wildebeest. These restaurants will be collaborating with chefs from the following restaurants across Canada including deer + almond, Richmond Station, Park, LOKA, OMAW, DaiLo, and Boralia.

For those looking to spend more time with Food Network host and celebrity Chef Michael Smith, EAT! Vancouver will hold another fun-filled evening where Chef Michael will share his personal stories and serve special dishes from his new cookbook, Real Food Real Good. Each guest will enjoy getting to know Michael over a glass of wine, picture taking and will each receive a personalized cookbook.
