WE ARE GREEN AT HEART!
We're making every effort to minimize EAT! Vancouver's impact on our environment. The 2010 EAT! Vancouver festival is bullfrogpowered with 100% green electricity. This means that Bullfrog Power will inject carbon-free green power onto the British Columbia electricity grid to match the amount of electricity used by this event. Bullfrog’s green power is sourced exclusively from wind power and low-impact hydro producers who meet or exceed the federal government's EcoLogoM standard for renewable energy. The Vancouver Convention Centre has a living roof, seawater heating and cooling, on-site water treatment and fish habitat built into the foundation of the West Building make it one of the "greenest" convention centres in the world.
